Speak LIfe!

Going to the barbershop or salon is a time when most people unwind and talk.  I want to share a conversation someone had with me today. I just want to encourage everyone to be careful with what you say to others and what words you except from others.

Today I went to the barbershop and a discussion about cancer came up. There was a person in the barbershop who mentioned that a family member recently died of cancer. The person went on to discuss another person and how that person's whole family died of cancer. He said, " if cancer is in your family then it's just a matter of time before you WILL get it, too". In my opinion, this is totally untrue. Yes, I realize that genetics plays a big role in a person's life, but it doesn't have to be a definite outcome.

There are many things a person can do in order to avoid an unhealthy life. We don't have to be a part of a cursed generation. Many of us fall short of incorporating things to keep us from illness like eating healthy, exercising, and eliminating stress.

Speaking in that defeating way will lead people to excepting a diseased-living life. Stop speaking death and  start speaking LIFE to one another!
